What is MagneVie B6 Magnesium 60 Tablets from Sanofi used for?
SANOFI's over-the-counter MagneVie B6 is available in boxes of 60 tablets and packs of 2 at low prices. It mainly contains
- vitamin B6 or pyridoxine, a non-caloric organic substance essential to our metabolism and not produced by our body. It is soluble in water (hydrosoluble) and is therefore rapidly eliminated in the urine. A daily intake of these water-soluble vitamins is therefore necessary to maintain the quantity required for the body to function properly. They come in three different chemical forms with the same activity: pyridoxine, pyridoxamine and pyridoxal.
- Magnesium, which plays an important role in protein synthesis, nerve impulse transmission and muscle contraction. It also has a kind of regulating effect on intestinal transit. But as it acts as a catalyst in a large number of enzymatic reactions, it has a kind of all-round effect. Magnesium is present in every cell. Those of the nervous system, muscles and heart are very sensitive to variations in magnesium levels.
This medicine contains magnesium.
The combination of a number of the following symptoms may suggest magnesium deficiency:
- nervousness, irritability, mild anxiety, transient fatigue, minor sleep disturbances,
- manifestations of anxiety, such as digestive spasms or palpitations (healthy heart),
- muscle cramps, tingling.
Magnesium can improve these symptoms.
If these symptoms do not improve after one month of treatment, there is no point in continuing.
Vitamin B6 supports the proper functioning and balance of the nervous system.

Magnesium is a mineral essential to the proper functioning of the human body. It is involved in over 300 metabolic reactions in the body. It acts in close association with sodium, potassium and calcium, with which it must remain in balance in the body. Around half of the body's magnesium is found in bones and teeth, while the rest is located in muscles, liver and other soft tissues. Magnesium is eliminated by the kidneys.
Vitamin B6 plays an important role in protein metabolism. It is also involved in a number of other mechanisms, such as the functioning of the nervous and immune systems, as well as hormone regulation. In this way, vitamin B6 plays an important role in maintaining mental equilibrium. It also contributes to the proper absorption of vitamin B12, the production of vitamin B3, the assimilation of calcium and the production of energy from muscle glycogen. It is known to contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous and immune systems, to normal mental function, to normal cysteine synthesis and to alleviate fatigue and asthenia.
