What is Phytosun Aroms Organic Juniper Essential Oil used for?

Juniper essential oil has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties when applied topically. It is an anti-putrient of the intestine in colitis (intestine-urinary tract relationship), antioxidant and anti-hypercholesterolemic (potential in the prevention of atherosclerosis).

Phytosun Aroms Organic Juniper essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of organically grown juniper berries. This process guarantees the purity and quality of the essential oil, preserving all its therapeutic properties. The juniper used is cultivated in a responsible, environmentally-friendly way, guaranteeing a high-quality end product.

Organic Juniper essential oil is mainly composed of monoterpenes, notably alpha-pinene and limonene, as well as sesquiterpenes and ketones. These compounds give the essential oil its therapeutic properties, such as its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and diuretic effects.

Organic Juniper essential oil has a wide range of pharmacological properties beneficial to health:

Juniper is renowned for its diuretic properties, promoting theelimination of toxins and metabolic waste via the urinary tract. This detoxifying action helps stimulate kidney function and relieve water retention, making it a valuable ally in the management of water retention and kidney problems.

Organic Juniper essential oil is also beneficial for the respiratory system. Its antiseptic properties help decongest the respiratory tract and relieve the symptoms of colds, coughs and upper respiratory tract infections. It is particularly effective when inhaled or diffused to purify the air and promote breathing.

How to use this essential oil

Anti-inflammatory and analgesic action on sciatica-type muscles; dilute 10% juniper essential oil in arnica vegetable oil. Massage into the affected area.

Juniper EO can also be used to combat excess uric acid.
Excess uric acid: 1 drop of Juniper + 1 drop of Dill herb + 1 drop of Lemon grass, use 2 drops of this mixture on a neutral tablet 3 times a day for 7 days.

Possible use: Humidity-related pain (adults)
3 drops of Juniper + 1 drop of Clove + 1 drop of Lavender aspic + 10 drops of Jojoba Vegetable Oil, 1 drop of this mixture applied locally, to be repeated according to symptoms.

Other possible uses: Scalp tonic (adults)
2 drops of Juniper + 1 drop of Rosemary 1.8 + 1 drop of Ginger + 10 drops of Argan Vegetable Oil, 2 to 5 drops of this mixture rubbed gently into the scalp 1 hour before shampooing.

Precautions for use

  • Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
  • Not recommended in cases of heavy menstrual bleeding.
  • Not recommended in cases of renal insufficiency.
  • CAUTION: risk of albuminuria with prolonged treatment.
  • Do not use for prolonged periods

What is it made of?

This bushy shrub, widespread in mountainous regions, moors and clearings throughout the northern hemisphere, has very narrow leaves ending in a sharp point. The berries are globular, green at first, then bluish-black and wax-covered when ripe.
