What is Phytosun Aroms Organic Balsam Fir Essential Oil used for?

Phytosun AromsBalsam Fir Essential Oil is a natural treasure offering exceptional benefits for respiratory and general health. Its medicinal properties make it an invaluable ally against a variety of ailments. This product is a powerful respiratory decongestant and antispasmodic. It can also be used as an antiseptic and atmospheric purifier, ideal in times of epidemics such as the flu. Thanks to its balsamic, antiseptic and antispasmodic properties, balsam fir essential oil is effective for soothing inflammation of the respiratory tract.

The oil's active ingredients, notably alpha and beta pinenes andbornyl acetate, give it anti-inflammatory, analgesic and rubefacient (warming) qualities. Applied topically, it reduces pain and promotes blood circulation. It is also a general tonic and stimulant, strengthening the body and contributing to its proper functioning. Its antioxidant and anti-tumor effects add a valuable preventive dimension to overall health.

Abies canadensis Boiron, the main component of this oil, has expectorant properties that facilitate the evacuation of mucus from the respiratory tract. This makes it an ideal remedy for coughs. In inhalation or diffusion, balsam fir essential oil soothes irritation and allows you to breathe more freely and comfortably.

For bronchitis, characterized by inflammation of the bronchial tubes, this essential oil is extremely beneficial. Its anti-inflammatory compounds reduce inflammation and promote better breathing. It has been used for centuries to soothe the symptoms of this respiratory ailment, and its effectiveness is widely recognized.

Balsam fir essential oil is also used to treat sinusitis, an often painful and embarrassing inflammation of the sinuses. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it reduces swelling and facilitates breathing. Diffused or applied locally, it helps clear nasal passages and soothe associated headaches.

In addition to its effects on respiratory ailments, balsam fir essential oil is recommended for rheumatism, osteoarthritis and cramps. Applied topically, it relieves muscle and joint pain, thanks to its antispasmodic and rubefacient action. It is also used to stimulate the immune system, particularly in winter, bringing tone and vitality to the body.

How to use this essential oil

For exceptional antitussive action on the ENT sphere, such as colds, we recommend pouring 4 to 5 drops of balsam fir essential oil into an inhaler or, failing that, into a bowl of hot water (below 40°C). Breathe in the steam for 5 minutes, three times a day. This helps to clear the respiratory tract and soothe coughs.

For external use, apply the oil as a localized friction to the chest or back to relieve muscle and joint pain. For diffusion, mix 10 drops of balsam fir, 5 drops of eucalyptus radiata and 1 drop of peppermint, then diffuse for 10 minutes every half-hour to purify indoor air.

To boost the immune system in adults, mix 3 drops of balsam fir, 1 drop of ginger and 1 drop of lavender aspic. Massage 1 to 2 drops of this mixture into the stomach or back, in the morning and throughout the day as needed.
