What is Phytosun Arôms Oregano Compact Essential Oil used for?
Oregano compact essential oil has powerful, broad-spectrum anti-infectious properties: it is bactericidal, even against antibiotic-resistant germs with which it synergizes. It is mycobactericidal, antifungal, antiviral and parasiticidal. It is therefore antibacterial against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
It acts on the respiratory, oro-intestinal, urogenital, blood and lympho-ganglionic systems. It is a tonic, as well as a general physical, psycho-emotional and sexual stimulant. This essential oil is also cortico-stimulant, immuno-stimulant and antioxidant thanks to its rich phenolic compounds, thymol and carvacrol.

How to use this essential oil
Powerful global immunostimulant and anti-infectious action, acting on all spheres, such as the onset of sepsis; dilute 20% oregano essential oil in black cumin vegetable oil. Massage insistently into the arch of the foot 2 times a day.
Precautions for use of Compact oregano essential oil
- Do not diffuse, inhale or use in bath water.
- Dermocaustic, revulsive action on pure skin and aggressive to mucous membranes (redness, irritation, pruritus, necrosis).
- Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
- Not recommended for children under 12 years of age
- Not to be used for more than 10 days
- Avoid in association with cortisone, risk of drug interaction
- Do not use for prolonged periods, as this may lead to resting of the pituitary-adrenal axis and acute adrenal insufficiency when the essential oil is discontinued.
- Avoid applying oregano essential oil in the evening (or before any period of rest).
- Not recommended for people suffering from osteoporosis, due to the inherent risk of decalcification
- Caution for internal use, acute hepatotoxicity at very low doses.
- Drug interactions with essential oils containing more than 10% sesquiterpenes
- Enzyme inhibitor, risk of drug interactions. Ask your pharmacist for advice.
- Beware of possible gynecomastizing effects with prolonged use: linalool shows anti-androgenic activity as well as weak estrogenic activity by binding to estrogen receptors. As linalool inhibits testosterone production, it should be avoided by males (endocrine disruptor).
- Contraindicated per os in cases of gastritis, ulcers and liver problems.
