Improve your cat's digestive health and boost immunity with Proplan Purina PVD Feline Fortiflora, a probiotic supplement specially formulated for feline needs.

What is the purpose of Proplan Purina Pvd Feline Fortiflora sachets?

Fortiflora Cat PVD is a nutritional supplement for the intestinal flora. Fortiflora is a dietary probiotic supplement in the form of a palatable powder to be sprinkled on your cat's food, for use in the following cases:

  • Diarrhea associated with intestinal flora imbalance or stress
  • During and after antibiotic treatment
  • During dietary changes
  • Acute enteritis
  • Poor stool quality in kittens

Fortiflora contains an effective probiotic to promote intestinal health and balance. Fortiflora works by increasing the number of bacteria in the intestine, helping to combat potentially dangerous bacteria and pathogens. It also helps strengthen natural defenses.

Proplan Purina PVD Feline Fortiflora in sachets is a high-quality nutritional supplement for cats, composed of meat and animal by-products, yeast and minerals. It is enriched with Enterococcus faecium SF68, a micro-encapsulated live micro-organism, at a minimum concentration of 1x10^12 CFU/kg. This composition promotes a healthy balance of intestinal flora, essential for good digestive health.

This dietary supplement has a high protein content (55%), essential for maintaining muscle mass and overall cat health. Fat, representing 19% of the composition, provides a necessary source of energy and supports skin and coat health. Crude cellulose, at 1%, contributes to good digestion.

Enriched with vitamin E (5937 mg/kg) and vitamin C (990 mg/kg), Feline Fortiflora helps strengthen the immune system and combat oxidative stress. Taurine, an essential amino acid for cats, is present at 2480 mg/kg, contributing to healthy heart function, eye health and reproduction.

With an energy value of 3.9 kcal/g, Proplan Purina PVD Feline Fortiflora is especially recommended for cats suffering from diarrhea linked to an imbalance in intestinal flora or stress, during and after antibiotic treatment, during dietary changes, in cases of acute enteritis, or to improve stool quality.

We also offer Articular Advance sticks at the best price in our online pharmacy.

Our expert pharmacy advice

Probiotics, made up of live micro-organisms, are increasingly used to improve intestinal health in cats. They offer a range of benefits, including stabilizing intestinal flora and boosting the immune system. Here are just a few reasons why using probiotics can be beneficial for cats.

  • Improved digestive health: Probiotics help maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora. In cats, an imbalance in this flora can lead to digestive disorders such as diarrhea or constipation. Probiotics can help restore this balance, promoting healthy digestion.
  • Boosting the immune system: A large part of the immune system is located in the gut. Probiotics support this system by inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria and stimulating the production of antibodies. In this way, they can help prevent certain infections and illnesses.
  • Stress reduction and improved behavior: Stress can affect intestinal flora, which in turn can influence a cat's mood and behavior. The use of probiotics can help reduce the impact of stress on the gut and, as a result, improve the cat's behavioral well-being.
  • Support during dietary changes or antibiotic treatment: When changing diet or following antibiotic treatment, the intestinal flora can be disturbed. Probiotics can help to rapidly restore intestinal balance, minimizing the digestive disorders that can occur in these situations.
  • Help with chronic diseases: In cats suffering from chronic diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, probiotics can help reduce inflammation and improve digestive symptoms.
