Description of Adiaril Powder Rehydration Infant 10 sachets

Diarrhea is accompanied by water and mineral loss, which can lead to dehydration. Adiaril Poudre Réhydratation Nourrisson 10 sachets provides the water and mineral salts needed to compensate for losses until the diarrhoea stops. Adiaril is designed to provide oral compensation for water (rehydration) and electrolyte losses following acute childhood diarrhea and gastroenteritis.

Directions for use Adiaril Poudre Réhydratation Nourrisson 10 sachets

- Dilute 1 sachet of Adiaril Poudre Réhydratation Nourrisson in 200 ml of water.
- Oral administration at room temperature.
- Offered ad libitum for the first few hours, every 5 to 10 minutes as soon as diarrhea or signs of dehydration appear.
- In the event of vomiting, rehydration solution should be offered regularly by teaspoonful (every 1 to 2 minutes).
- After reconstitution, Adiaril solution is ready to use and can be stored for up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.

Composition of Adiaril

Glucose, sucrose, K gluconate, Na citrate, Na chloride, qsp one sachet. Average analysis per 100 g: glucose 37.80 g, sucrose 35.50 g, Na 3.91 g, K 2.23 g, Cl 3 g, citrate 5.37 g, gluconates 11.11 g.

Precautions for use

- Adiaril should not be used in cases of anuria or renal failure.
- During an episode of diarrhea, monitor your child's weight.
- Observe good hygiene practices (sterilize feeding bottles, wash hands, etc.), as diarrhea is most often infectious in origin.
- Make sure you reconstitute Adiaril rehydration solution correctly.

Adiaril is intended to provide orally the compensation for losses of minerals and water (rehydration) as a result of diarrhea and acute infantile gastroenteritis.

Precautions for use

Adiaril should be excluded from infant and healthy child feeding. Given its particular formulation, this product can not be the only source of nutrition for the child.

It is recommended to consult a doctor who alone can adapt the nutritional intake to the specific needs of the child.

Directions for Use, Dosage

The sachet is diluted in 200 ml of weakly mineralized water, without the addition of sugar or salt. The solution is administered orally at room temperature. The amount to be administered is determined by the doctor according to the child's water needs, as soon as diarrhea or signs of dehydration appear.

It will be offered at will for the first few hours at regular intervals, every 5 to 10 minutes at the beginning, then every 15 to 30 minutes.

Storage conditions

Store at room temperature and away from moisture.

The reconstituted solution can be stored for up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
