Magnesia San Pelligrino Anise 90% Powder for Drinkable Suspension is an osmotic laxative drug . It attracts water from the intestine and increases the volume of stool.
It is used in the symptomatic treatment of constipation .
Constipation is caused by a slowing of the intestinal transit. The stools, formed from food residues, remain too long without progressing in the colon. Thus, the water they contain is absorbed and the stools harden. They eventually accumulate in the colon and rectum and are more difficult to evacuate. Traditionally, we talk about constipation when the frequency of stools is less than 3 times a week. However, keep in mind that some people who have only a bowel movement twice a week may also feel very good. Do not take MAGNESIE SAN PELLEGRINO ANISEE 90%, powder for oral suspension:
· certain diseases of the intestine and colon
· in case of abdominal pain (stomach pains)
· in the case of chronic constipation (long-lasting constipation)

Occasional constipation:
It may be related to a recent change in lifestyle (travel). The drug may be an aid in short treatment. Any recent constipation unexplained by the change in lifestyle. Any constipation accompanied by pain, fever, or swelling of the abdomen should have the physician's advice sought.
Chronic constipation (long-term constipation):

Antacid and other medicines should not be taken at the same time.
