Quality controls
For many years, Solgar has implemented a particularly rigorous quality control system. Thanks to its laboratory equipped with the most advanced technologies (liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, mass spectrometer, etc.) Solgar performs hundreds of tests for each of its references, from raw materials to finished products.
In order to meet the natural expectations of food safety and tolerance, Solgar avoids as much as possible the use of allergenic raw materials or sensitizing compounds. Thus, almost all Solgar products are made without gluten, wheat, soy, corn, yeast, dairy products, preservatives, flavor enhancers or colorings (titanium dioxide).
Gluten is a simple combination of proteins (prolamins-glutenins) present in certain cereals such as wheat, rye, barley, oats. However, the consequences can sometimes be significant in certain sensitive or intolerant people. Currently, only 2 terms can be used to inform consumers about the absence or reduced presence of gluten: the statement "gluten-free", reserved for products containing less than 20 milligrams of gluten per kilogram (ppm) and the statement "Very low in gluten", reserved for those containing less than 100 milligrams per kilogram.
