Description of Clarix Expectorant Carbocisteine 2% Child Syrup 150ml

This medication thins the secretions (phlegm) present in the bronchi. It facilitates their evacuation by coughing . It is used in case of oily cough with difficulty spitting , especially during acute bronchitis .

Congestion of the bronchi ...
Bronchitis: inflammation of the bronchi
Acute bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi caused by a virus or more rarely a bacteria.

Following infection, an inflammatory response develops. The hair cells which line the internal walls of the bronchi and whose task is to allow the evacuation of impurities then no longer manage to fulfill their role.

The naturally occurring mucus in the bronchi builds up. It becomes difficult to evacuate and clogs the respiratory tract. The cough then appears in order to allow the expectoration of excess mucus; it's bronchitis.
