Red Chestnut: the Bach flower of serenity

The Bach Flower Red Chestnut is a cross between the common chestnut (Aesculus hyppocastanum) and the red pavier (Aesculus pavia). Much smaller than the common chestnut, the red chestnut is often used as a decorative tree in parks and gardens, as well as on roadsides, rarely exceeding 20 meters in height. The red chestnut blooms between May and June, producing highly fragrant pink and red flowers in clusters of cymes.

The intense color of its blossoms symbolizes a strong involvement with the outside world; no other Bach flower is as colorful. The red chestnut's blossoms give way to green bugs containing inedible chestnuts, which fall in October. To flourish, the red chestnut needs sun and space, with at least 15 meters of space around it to spread its drooping branches. Bach Red Chestnut flower is produced by boiling the flowering branches, this essence is dark plum in color, a color representing empathy.
