Our advice and expert opinions

Hair grows and renews itself continuously.
This natural phenomenon is generally accentuated in spring and autumn, when the animal adopts a coat more suited to the season (finer, lighter coat in summer, thicker, fuller coat in winter). These are known as summer and winter moults.
This phenomenon may be non-seasonal, especially in apartment-dwelling animals, for whom the seasons have ceased to exist. They shed almost permanently.
A good diet will contribute to a beautiful coat. But it's not enough, as dead hair must be removed.
Regular brushing will help eliminate them. This will prevent tangles, especially in the case of animals with medium-length or long hair.
Short-haired cats and dogs should be brushed once or twice a week. An animal that sheds a lot (stress, illness, age, etc.) should be brushed more often. Medium- or long-haired cats and dogs should be brushed daily.
