Description of NORMACOL LAVEMENT rectal solution in a single-dose container for children 60ml

Indication:

  • Low constipation (INDICATION)
  • Preparation of the rectosigmoid for endoscopic or radiological examinations (INDICATION)
  • Constipation (INDICATION_GROUP)
  • Preparation for digestive endoscopies (INDICATION_GROUP)
  • Palliative care (INDICATION_GROUP)

A child is constipated when his stool is hard and difficult to pass. Most of the time, he will pass stools only once or twice a week. However, some children are constipated even if they have a daily bowel movement because they then evacuate only the "overflow" of their intestine in the form of very hard stools.

Sometimes hard stools cause small cracks in the anus and fresh blood is visible on the stools. These cracks are very painful and prevent the child from having a regular bowel movement. The pain causes the reflex to hold back instead of pushing. This creates a vicious circle: pain generates retention of stools, which then become harder and harder to send. The memory of this pain takes a long time to erase. This is why the treatment of constipation in children is long and demanding.
