Description of SPAGULAX effervescent powder drinkable suspension in Sachets-dose without sugar

Indication :

  • Constipation
  • Palliative care

The different causes of constipation :

  • Contracted intestines: During digestion, the intestines contract to move food through the digestive tract. This phenomenon of contractions is called peristalsis. In cases of constipation, peristalsis slows down and stool remains in the colon too long. In the vast majority of cases, no organic cause is found, and constipation is said to be " functional ".
  • Poor dietary habits: Most of the time, functional constipation is caused by poor dietary habits, physical inactivity, stress, anxiety or the presence of hemorrhoids or anal fissures that cause the person to hold back from having a bowel movement.
  • Sphincter contraction: In some people, the anal muscle (the anal sphincter) contracts rather than relaxes during defecation, blocking the passage of stool. To explain this poor reflex synchronization, hypotheses often point to psychological factors. In many cases, however, no cause or trigger can be found.

They therefore pass intact into the colon, where they are fermented by the intestinal microbiota. This fermentation leads to the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) such as acetate, propionate and butyrate,…
