Lavender stoechade essential oil is anti-bacterial. It helps soothe the respiratory tract and combat ear infections.
Stoechade lavender (butterfly lavender)essential oil has anti-catarrhal and mucolytic properties. It is anti-infectious (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and anti-bacterial. It is an antifungal and anti-inflammatory agent. This essential oil is also anti-convulsant, antispasmodic and sedative by blocking calcium channels. Use with caution (presence of ketones).
This seaside lavender is easily recognized by its tassel of mauve bracts imitating a plume above each inflorescence. It only grows wild on limestone soils. Its name comes from the islands of Hyères (known as îles Stéchades). Lavandula luisierii grows in southern Spain, and is closely related to stoechade lavender.

How to use this essential oil
Anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial action for serous and Pseudomonas bacterial ear infections; pour 1 drop of stoechade lavender essential oil into 9 drops ofblack cumin vegetable oil. Apply this preparation around the ear, and, using a soaked cotton bud, gently apply to the entrance to the ear canal. Avoid putting drops directly into the ear canal if the eardrum is pierced, as lavender stoechade essential oil is potentially neurotoxic.
Serous otitis: apply 1 drop in 4 drops of vegetable oil around the ear. Repeat 5 to 6 times a day for 5 days.
Diffusion: Inhale a few drops on a handkerchief or from a bottle, several times a day, to help clear the respiratory tract. As an additional skin application.
