What is Pranarôm Mandravasarotra Essential Oil 10ml used for?

Mandravasarotraessential oil has powerful anti-infectious properties against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Neissseria gonorrhoeae, Gardnerella vaginalis, Listeria sp, Streptococcus sp, Shigella sp, Pasteurella sp. and Candida albicans. It is anti-infective against antibiotic-resistant Gram+ (Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram- (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) bacteria. It is antiviral, immunostimulant, mucolytic and expectorant. It is also a healing essential oil. Sesquiterpenes acting as vanilloid targets could induce effects on apoptosis, memory, appetite and emotional regulation.

Native to Madagascar, this evergreen, highly aromatic tree can reach 5 m in height. In Malagasy, Mandravasarotra means "that keeps evil away". It is the plant most commonly used by people in the west of the island. In this Sakalava region, it's called either Motrobeatiagnana or Motrobeatianina, meaning "big fire in the entrails", as its entire aerial part has a pungent, burning flavor. Depending on the Malagasy dialect, it is also called Fanalamangidy "which removes bitterness" or Mangidymanitra "which smells of bitterness" or Sakarivohazo "ginger wood" or Sakaihazo "chili wood".

Saro essential oil has powerful anti-infectious properties against a wide range of pathogenic micro-organisms. It is effective against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, as well as fungi such as Candida albicans. It is also antiviral, making it an ideal complement to antibiotic therapy to combat viruses, including HPV. The presence of active compounds in Saro essential oil gives it immunostimulant and immunomodulating properties. It thus helps strengthen the immune system and prevent viral and bacterial winter ailments.

Recognized for its respiratory benefits, Saro essential oil acts as a respiratory tract antiseptic, expectorant and bronchial fluidifier. It helps clear the airways, making breathing easier. By acting on the nervous system, Saro essential oil has calming and antispasmodic properties. It helps soothe muscular tension and induces a certain neurological relaxation.

Thanks to its active compounds, Saro essential oil is a natural repellent against mosquitoes, particularly Aedes aegypti, the vector of yellow fever. Its use therefore provides effective protection against mosquito bites and the diseases they can transmit.

In addition to its main properties, Saro essential oil has other health benefits, including

  • Neurotonic: helps tone the nervous system.
  • Skin astringent: helps tighten skin tissue.
  • Analgesic and intestinal analgesic: relieves pain and discomfort in the intestines.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Helps reduce inflammation.
  • Cortison-like: Has similar effects to cortisone.
  • Mucolytic: Helps thin bronchial secretions.
