Take the tube out of the balloon (see diagram on balloon), then squeeze the 2 ends of the tube to pierce the lids. Then blow hard and long to inflate the whole balloon at once. Insert the tube's blue perforator into the balloon's mouthpiece. Press down on the balloon to empty it of all air in about 12 seconds: the air is evacuated through the tube, coloring it green according to the alcohol level. If the green coloring reaches or exceeds the central ring, you are above the legal threshold of 0.25mg/L of air equivalent to 0.5g/L of blood. This breathalyzer is an indicative test and gives you a good approximation of your condition. The results of this test cannot be set against those obtained during official controls.
- A transparent plastic tube, inert to the reagent, made up of two interlocking parts. It contains a dose of silica gel impregnated with a sulfochromic solution which turns from yellow to green in the presence of alcohol. A central line is printed on the tube. This indicates the limit not to be exceeded.
- An airtight enclosure, consisting of a glass tube and a sealed lid, ensures that the test can be stored for at least one year, at a temperature below 40°C.
- A balloon that effortlessly collects exhaled air, which is then expelled through the test tube.
