What is Aboca Fitostill Plus eye drops used for?

Fitostill Plus Eye Drops, presented in practical sterile single-dose bottles, is a specific adjuvant for the prevention and treatment of red, tired eyes. Thanks to the formation of a protective film, it maintains proper hydration and helps restore the natural lubricating function of the eye's "tear film".

The components of Fitostill Plus exert the following principal actions:

- a protective and lubricating action due to the presence of sodium hyaluronate, which prevents and reduces the symptoms of discomfort associated with dry eye syndrome (an uncomfortable burning sensation due to an increase in the force of friction between the eyelid and the ocular surface, which may be caused by external agents or have a physiological origin)

How to use artificial tears

Instill 2-3 drops in each eye, one to three times a day. The single-dose bottle can be recapped and reused within 12 hours. The closure system of the single-dose bottle is patented specifically to prevent unintentional opening.

For correct use of the product, follow the instructions below:

- open the single-dose bottle by turning the cap anticlockwise

- instill the product by pressing lightly on the single-dose bottle
to recap the unit-dose bottle, turn the cap upside down and press firmly onto the body of the unit-dose bottle

Instructions for use

For ophthalmic use only.

• When instilling, avoid contact of the tip of the single-dose bottle with the eye or any other surface.
• Do not use in case of hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more of the components.
• In the event of abnormal symptoms during use, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
• Store in a cool, dry place, away from sources of heat and protected from light.
• Keep out of reach of children
• The expiration date refers to the product intact and correctly stored.
• After opening the foil pouch, the product can be used for 24 months in a cool, dry place, but must not exceed the expiration date printed on the packaging.
• Keep the product in its original packaging and with its instructions for future reference.

Characteristics of main ingredients

LIGUFLOS: Freeze-dried extract of female chamomile ligules Study of the biochemical characteristics of chamomile flower heads has shown that the ligules, commonly known as "petals", are particularly rich in polysaccharides, in quantities greater than those of the whole flower head. Since polysaccharides are precisely the main functional substances credited with moisturizing and soothing action, Aboca has developed an innovative production process to obtain Liguflos. As soon as the fresh flowers are harvested from Aboca's cultivation sites, they are dried and selected to obtain only the ligules. These are extracted and freeze-dried to obtain the highest possible concentration of functional substances.

CHAMOMILE FLOWER DISTILLED WATER
Distilled waters, also known as hydrolats, are obtained during steam distillation of the fresh plant and represent the aqueous phase that separates from the essential oil. Chamomile distilled water, obtained from fresh flowers, is filtered to guarantee its purity and is used for its moisturizing properties. It also contributes to the product's refreshing properties.

SODIUM HYALURONATE

A component naturally present in connective tissues such as skin, joints and the vitreous body of the eye. The main characteristic of this substance is to create a molecular scaffolding with a high capacity for hydration and lubrication. In the case of the skin, for example, it maintains the tone and plasticity of subcutaneous tissues; in the case of joints, it contributes to the correct gliding of parts subject to movement; and in the case of the eye, it reduces the force of friction during blinking.

VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

The hydrolysis of vegetable oils yields two components: fatty acids and glycerine or glycerol. The latter is characterized by its moisturizing and humectant properties, thanks to its remarkable capacity to bind water and retain it for a long time on the cells with which it comes into contact, thus limiting dehydration.
