What is Femannose N D-Mannose Cystitis Prevention in sachets used for?
Femannose D-Mannose sachets are recommended for the treatment of acute attacks of cystitis and bacterial urinary tract infections. Formulated with D-Mannose. Suitable for diabetics and pregnant or breast-feeding women, fruity taste.
Femannose N D-Mannose is a medical device indicated for the treatment and prevention of cystitis and other bacterial urinary tract infections. This product can reduce the most common symptoms of urinary tract infections (burning on urination, frequent urinary urgency, strong-smelling or cloudy urine, pelvic pain, etc.).
Femannose works by preventing bacteria from attaching themselves to the bladder wall, so that they can be eliminated along with the flow of urine. Bacteria already attached to the urinary wall are also eliminated. D-Mannose is a simple sugar that occurs naturally in the body. Using Femannose therefore avoids the need forantibiotics, which can eventually lead to resistance. D-Mannose is a glucose epimer that significantly inhibits the adhesion of pathogens to the urinary epithelium, thus preventing the anchoring of microbes that would migrate into the urogenital tract despite the action of the product limiting their virulence. The possibility of migration of microbes residing in the intestine into the urogenital tract is thus reduced, mechanically preventing any future recurrence.
It's a natural dietary supplement whose role is to control and prevent urinary tract infections caused by pathogens such asE.coli and other Gram-negative bacteria, which are often responsible for urinary tract infections.
Cystitis (inflammation of the bladder) and related conditions are microbial diseases that primarily affect the bladder and urethra. In most cases, they are due to the invasion of non-pathogenic bacteria present in the microflora of the lower gastrointestinal tract, if they find the necessary conditions for growth and anchorage in the bladder wall and urinary tract. These conditions most often occur in young women, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and in peri- and post-menopausal periods, but can also develop in elderly men or catheterized subjects.
Combined with antibiotics, Femannose N® indicated for the prevention or treatment of cystitis and other bacterial urinary tract infections, can have a synergistic effect, as the antimicrobial mechanisms of action are different and do not overlap. It's important to note that the components (D-Mannose) in Femannose N do not promote the development of microbial resistance.
