We also recommend Les Petites Choses Tampon avec Applicateur Coton Bio, tampons that are good for nature and good for your body.
How do I use a menstrual cup?
Before using for the first time
Clean the cup with a mild soap and scald it for 5 minutes in a large quantity of water (a saucepan will do perfectly), so as not to burn it on the bottom, or place the Saforelle menstrual cup stem-side down. Cover with water until marked. Leave the lid open and place the sterilization box in the microwave for 5 min at 750 Watt.
Make sure all 4 perforations are correctly pierced.
Inserting the menstrual cup
For the first few uses, you can either wet the cup (during a shower, for example), or use a water-based lubricant (the same as for intercourse).
It won't be long before you'll be able to put your cup on without lubricant or water.
These preliminaries will help you build up your self-confidence.
Fold the cup and insert it like a tampon. If it's on correctly, it will unfold on its own.
Removing
When you remove your menstrual cup, wash your hands thoroughly, get into a comfortable position and relax your vaginal muscles. If you can't reach the base of the cup, gently pull on the stem. You can gently push the cup with your vaginal muscles to help the Saforelle Cup descend. Be careful not to damage the stem with your fingernails. Loosen the rim by pressing on the lower part of the cup, and remove it, taking care not to spill the contents.
Menstrual cup care
For routine cleaning, we recommend that you first rinse your cup in cold water (to avoid unpleasant odours and yellowing).
You can then clean with a mild soap and hot water, or use the sterilization box.
Between two cycles, scald the box in plenty of water for optimal cleaning.

Instructions for use
The menstrual cup is generally placed much lower than a tampon, at the entrance to the vagina for some women.
The menstrual cup may then move a little to spontaneously position itself in the best place for your anatomy. However, this can vary from woman to woman, and some women quickly find that the cup will move into a very high position.
What's its composition?
Saforelle menstrual cup is made from high-quality medical-grade silicone.
