VERLIM Protective Varnish Biorga

Protective varnish for dermatological use with local applicator.

Description of VERLIM Protective Varnish Biorga

This protective varnish is designed to protect the healthy skin around the wart or horn during treatment, which is covered with a verrucide product.

Instructions for use and dosage

  • For a protective action, apply the varnish with the brush provided around the lesion to be treated (warts, corns...) to protect healthy skin from the external coricidal or verrucidal treatment, which is highly caustic for healthy skin.
  • For an occlusive action, after the external treatment has dried completely, apply Verlim to the lesion as prescribed, using the brush.
  • The next day, or as prescribed, the lesion can be removed by filing superficially without causing bleeding, then repeat the external treatment.

Our advice and expert opinions

Warts appear when the skin is contaminated by a virus. Either through direct contact with a wart-bearing person, or indirect contact with a contaminated surface.

Here are a few preventive measures:

  • don't touch or scratch another person's warts
  • don't use a wart-carrier's towel or washcloth
  • don't share socks or shoes with someone who has plantar warts
  • avoid walking barefoot in public places (swimming pools, changing rooms, gyms, public showers, etc.), and wear sandals or flip-flops in these areas
  • don't use a file or pumice stone that has been used to polish a wart
  • dry your feet after a shower or bath, as the virus penetrates damp skin more easily.
