Urgo K2 latex-free dual-strip compression system allows you to create a compression bandage.

What is the Urgo K2 latex-free dual-strip compression system used for?

The UrgoK2 latex-free dual-strip compression system is recommended for venous insufficiency. This medical device enables the necessary therapeutic pressure level to be achieved from the very first application, for optimum effectiveness, safety and comfort. This medical compression bandage is recommended for leg ulcers and edema of venous or lymphatic origin. It enables the injured area to be strongly compressed to stimulate blood circulation in the leg. Blood helps to supply organs with nutrients, and also collects toxins from cellular metabolism as it flows upwards towards the heart.

With its compression quality, Urgo K2 applies a massage effect that provides moderate compression at rest and stronger compression when walking, thanks to leg movements. It consists of two bands that are easy and safe to use thanks to the PresSure System.

We also offer Urgo Pansements Extrême Bande à Découper 6 cm x 1 m, at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How do I use this compression device?

Method of application below the knee (venous leg ulcer or edema):

  1. Hold foot at 90°, toes up. Apply Ktech (band 1) to the base of the toes, making two anchoring turns, ensuring that the padded side is in direct contact with the skin and that the pressure indicator is located on the upper side of the band. Continue in an "8" pattern around the ankle, without applying excessive tension to the foot and covering the heel well.
  2. Spiral up to the knee, stretching the band appropriately: the pressure indicator printed on the band should form a circle. For correct overlap, the pressure indicator should be just covered (50% overlap). Finish 2 cm below the knee and cut off excess bandage. Secure with a plaster.
  3. Apply Kpress (band 2) over Ktech (band 1) using the same technique, starting one finger above Ketch and finishing one finger below Ktech, so that only Ktech is in direct contact with the skin. Once applied, press gently on the bandage with your hands to ensure a firm hold.

Method of application up to the thigh (edema): If necessary, apply a suitable bandage over the toes. To apply the bandage up to the thigh, follow the same method as for below-the-knee application (with identical overlap), but using the following bandage sequence:

  1. Apply an 8 cm Ktech over the foot (or 10 cm depending on foot size) and up to the ankle.
  2. Then apply a 10 cm Ktech. Stop just above the knee; bend the knee slightly. If necessary, pad the back of the knee with absorbent cotton for greater comfort.
  3. Continue up the thigh with a 10 cm or 12 cm Ktech (whichever is more appropriate) and hold in place with plaster.
  4. Apply Kpress over Ktech, using the same tape sequence and application method.
  5. Cut off excess strip lengths. At the end of the application, gently press the bandage with your hands to ensure a secure hold.
