What is Baies de Goji séchées PHARM'UP Sachet 500g used for?
Goji or goji berry is the commercial name for the berry of the common lyciet(Lycium barbarum), a bush whose natural habitat is northwest China (regions bordering Inner Mongolia) and the south (Tibet/Himalaya). It takes the form of a small, elongated orange berry with a slightly sweet taste. The name "goji" was coined in 1973 by a North American ethnobotanist, Bradley Dobos, from local Himalayan languages and its Chinese name. Lyciets are grown mainly at high altitude, from north-western China (Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai) to Mongolia. China's Hui autonomous region of Ningxia is famous for its goji production (80% of the world's goji is grown in this province). Goji berries have been consumed in Asia for thousands of years, and are renowned for their health-giving properties. The goji berry is recognized as the highest known source of antioxidants and carotenoids of any food. Serious analyses carried out in November 2007 by the French laboratory AGROBIO to determine the ORAC value (the capacity of antioxidants to cope with free radicals) place goji berries at the top of the scale.
Pharm'Up Goji berries originate from the Ningxia province on the Himalayan plateau of Tibet. This fruit with incomparable antioxidant properties contains unique polysaccharides, carotenoids, 19 essential amino acids, 8 vitamins, 21 minerals and trace elements, and dietary fiber. Regular consumption helps maintain good health.
