Saro essential oil is a powerful anti-infective, acting on a wide range of bacteria and fungi. It is effective against common pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida albicans, among others. It also has antiviral properties, making it an effective complement to antibiotic therapy in the treatment of human papillomavirus (HPV).

Saro essential oil is immunostimulant and immunomodulating, which means it boosts the immune system and helps prevent viral and bacterial infections, particularly during the winter months when the risk of respiratory ailments is higher.

  • Diffusion: A few drops in an electric diffuser to purify the air.
  • Massage: 5 drops in ml of vegetable oil, massaging into the back and chest to fight the flu.
  • Inhalation: 1 drop on a handkerchief to breathe in against colds OR 3 drops in a bowl of warm water as an inhalation to clear the respiratory tract (add eucalyptus radiata essential oil if necessary).

Precautions for use

  • Avoid in association with cortisone, risk of drug interaction.
  • Do not use for prolonged periods, as this may cause the pituitary-adrenal axis to rest, resulting in acute adrenal insufficiency when the essential oil is discontinued.
  • Avoid applying essential oil in the evening (or before any period of rest).
  • Not recommended for osteoporosis sufferers, due to the inherent risk of decalcification
  • Dermocaustic in its pure state, dilution required
  • Beware of possible gynecomastizing effects with prolonged use. Linalool inhibits testosterone production; avoid long-term use in males as an endocrine disrupter.
  • For adults only
  • Caution in cases of per os renal insufficiency (nephrotoxicity).
  • Do not diffuse, inhale or use in the bath.
  • Not recommended for asthmatics and/or epileptics
