Italian Helichrysum essential oil has many virtues, including
- Anti-hematoma (sesquiterpene ketones): effective against the appearance of hematomas after shock.
- Healing (monoterpene ketones): improves healing after surgery.

How to use this essential oil
Helichrysum d'Italia essential oil can be applied to the skin, or exceptionally, if prescribed by a doctor, orally or by inhalation, in small doses and over short periods of time.
- Acne rosacea, scarring, blotchiness, stretch marks, skin aging: dilute 1 to 2 drops in a teaspoon of vegetable oil (rose hip, for example) or skin-care cream and gently massage into the face or body part concerned.
- Bruises, hematomas: a few drops undiluted on the affected area, 5 times a day, until the bruise disappears.
- Sprain: 3 undiluted drops on the sprain, after cooling with an ice pack, 1 time a day, until the sprain disappears.

- Not recommended for young children (except for localized, momentary use, not exceeding 3 to 4 drops 3 times a day), or during pregnancy (except for localized, momentary use).
