What is Pranarom Coconut Oil 100ml used for?

With its soft, sweet fragrance, this coconut oil has many virtues. It nourishes skin and hair without making them greasy, has purifying properties and even delays skin aging...

1st cold-pressed Coconut oil protects the skin from external aggressions such as the sun, sea water and pollution. It effectively softens and repairs damaged skin and hair.

Pranarom Organic Coconut Oil will quickly become a must-have. Multifunctional, it can be used in many ways by the whole family

  • As an anti-aging oil: Rich in vitamins E (antioxidant) and A (repairing and anti-free radical), coconut oil is invaluable for limiting the damaging effects of free radicals on the skin, while preserving tissue elasticity. It can replace or complement your day care, depending on your skin's nutritional needs.
  • As a gentle make-up remover: the oil has the ability to dissolve any make-up, even waterproof.
  • As a hair care product: with its total affinity with hair proteins, it perfectly nourishes and moisturizes normal, dry or frizzy hair, without weighing it down, as it penetrates quickly. It can also be applied as a detangler, just on the lengths, to facilitate brushing.
  • After-sun: After sun exposure, it repairs skin heated and dehydrated by UV rays. It can also be applied to soothe mild sunburn and redness.
  • All-round moisturizer: Rich in saturated fatty acids (lauric and myristic acids), it restores the skin's hydrolipidic barrier. It can therefore easily replace daily body lotion. Its softening action can also work wonders on dry cuticles.
  • As a lice treatment: it is formidable for these little beasts, asphyxiating them. Apply to the entire head of hair, like a poultice. Put on a bathing cap (or charlotte) and leave on overnight. Rinse with warm water in the morning, before shampooing once or twice.

We also offer Calendula macerate from aromatherapy specialist Pranarom, at the best price in our online pharmacy.

Give your opinion on the advice for use and dosage of Huile de Coco Pranarom 100ml with our partner Verified opinions after your purchase.

Coconut oil contains almost exclusively saturated fatty acids, with a little vitamin E. But unlike animal fats, which are also very rich in saturated fatty acids, it is made up of an unusual quantity of medium-chain fatty acids, or medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). Simply put, MCTs go straight to your liver and are metabolized to produce energy, or are transformed into ketones which can have a therapeutic effect on the brain.
What's more, our bodies have trouble storing MCTs in fat reserves (thighs, buttocks, stomach, arms, chest...). Replacing butter or any other saturated fat in your diet with coconut oil therefore facilitates weight loss.

Coconut oil helps you cook, pan-fry, bake, prepare salads and more, without unnecessary fat. This oil is the ideal ally for your diets and dry periods!

It's also a great alternative to butter. Baking, roasting, frying, grilling and dressing are just some of the ideas that make sports nutrition more attractive!

It contains 0 fat and 0 calories!

What are the precautions for use?

Organic Coconut Oil should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from light.

What is its composition?

100% pure, cold-pressed organic virgin coconut oil, formulated without additives.

Our advice and expert opinions

Did you know? Coconut oil is also excellent for our health:

Like all oils, coconut oil is made up of 100% fatty acids. But unlike other vegetable oils, 85% of these fatty acids are saturated. Long accused of being responsible for cardiovascular disease, saturated fatty acids get a bad press. However, 65% of the saturated fatty acids in coconut oil are medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), special fatty acids whose structure enables them to be metabolized more quickly, providing energy to the cells more rapidly. MCTs therefore do not behave in the body like the long-chain saturated fatty acids found in meat, for example. Another advantage is that they are more stable when cooked.

  • Could protect against cardiovascular disease: Since the majority of fatty acids in coconut oil are medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), rather than long-chain triglycerides, their effects on cardiovascular health are different from those of long-chain saturated fatty acids. It is said to have a protective effect on arteries and the heart, thanks in particular to its metabolism process: the body immediately uses fat reserves, without storing them. No risk of deposits that could eventually clog arteries.
  • It can be cooked at high temperatures without denaturing (unlike polyunsaturated oils, such as linseed or walnut oil, which are very fragile and should not be cooked), thus rehabilitating frying, which is good news.

  • Its ease of absorption by the intestines and subsequent utilization by the liver make it a product of choice for people wishing to implement a ketogenic diet. The aim of a ketogenic diet is to enable the body to produce its own energy without relying on external glucose supplies. A metabolic mechanism that occurs naturally during fasting. Producing the same effects without stopping eating: this is another paradox that makes this oil such a success.
