Gynositol contains myo-inositol which is a sugar synthesized naturally by the human body and supplied by food.
Gynositol also contains vitamin B9 (5-MTHF) , a vitamin belonging to the folate family. A low folate status in the mother increases the risk of malformation of the developing fetus (neural tube closure abnormalities). Vitamin B9 (5-MTHF) of Gynositol is the biologically active form and directly assimilable by all women. Vitamin B9 (5-MTHF) supplementation of 400 μg per day is recommended at least 1 month before and up to 3 months after conception.
