Vitamin B12 Gerda to treat vitamin B12 deficiency

The drug Vitamin B12 Gerda contains vitamin B12 , essential for the functioning of the bone marrow (which makes blood cells). It is used in the treatment of certain forms of anemia caused by failure to absorb vitamin B12 from the intestine or to insufficient food intake.

Vitamin B12 , or cobalamin , is an essential nutrient for the proper functioning of the body. The elderly and those who do not consume animal products are more prone to a deficiency.

Description of the ampoules Vitamin B12 Gerda 1000MCG / 4ML

Vitamin B12 Gerda 6 ampoules is presented here in the form of a solution for intramuscular injection, or drinkable. The dosage of vitamins B12 Gerda is the same for adults, children and infants. The use of the injectable route is however reserved for the treatment of deficiencies linked to digestive malabsorption of vitamin B12, or for the treatment of deficiency linked to insufficient food intake when recourse to the oral route is not possible.

LEXICON (summary)

Acne
Affection of the skin linked to sebum retention forming comedones (blackheads and microcysts). These are the seat of a proliferation of bacteria and turn into pustules.

allergy
Skin reaction (itching, pimples, swelling) or general discomfort occurring after contact with a particular substance, use of a medication or ingestion of a food. The main forms of allergy are eczema, urticaria, asthma, angioedema and allergic shock (anaphylactic shock). Food allergy can also result in digestive disorders.

anemia
Decreased hemoglobin level in the blood, which most often results in a decrease in the number of red blood cells. Iron is essential for the synthesis of hemoglobin. Iron deficiency during pregnancy, vegetarian diet, heavy or repeated bleeding (menstruation) is a common cause of anemia. Other, rarer causes are related to vitamin B deficiencies.

intramuscular
route or injectionInjection of a drug into a muscle, usually at the buttock. The effect of the drug, which passes only gradually in the blood, is delayed but prolonged. A good preliminary disinfection of the skin is necessary, because this deep injection exposes to a risk of abscess. The pain due to the bite depends mainly on the nature of the product used. This route of administration is contraindicated in hemophiliacs and people taking anticoagulant therapy, as it exposes them to a risk of hematoma of the buttocks.
Abbreviation: IM.

allergic reaction
Reaction due to the hypersensitivity of the body to a drug. Allergic reactions can be very varied: urticaria, angioedema, eczema, rash of measles-like pimples, etc. Anaphylactic shock is a generalized allergic reaction that causes discomfort by sudden drop in blood pressure.

vitamin
Substance essential for the growth and the good functioning of the organism. Vitamin requirements are normally covered by a varied diet. In developed countries, only vitamin D deficiency in young children or the elderly with little sun exposure justifies routine supplementation. An intake greater than the needs, by drugs in particular, can be at the origin of an overdose and various disorders (vitamins A and D essentially).
