    How do I use this mouthwash solution?

    Dentex solution is easy to use. Rinse with 10 ml of solution (i.e. the contents of the measuring cap filled to the 10 ml mark) for about one minute, then spit out. Use three times a day, after each meal and at bedtime, or as advised by your dentist. Adults and children over 12 can use it as indicated above. For children aged 6 to 12, use under adult supervision.

    Precautions and contraindications

    • It's essential to rinse your mouth with 10ml of solution, which is equivalent to the amount contained in the measuring cap filled to the corresponding mark. Keep the solution in your mouth for about a minute before spitting it out. Use three times a day, after meals and before bedtime, or as advised by your dental specialist.
    • If you are an adult or a child over 12, you can use this solution as described above. However, for children aged 6 to 12, use must be under adult supervision. Please note that use should not exceed 7 days.
    • Colgate Dentex Mouthwash Solution is contraindicated for people with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the listed excipients. It is strongly recommended not to swallow this solution.
    • It is essential to consult your dental specialist if irritation persists for more than 7 days, in cases of severe irritation, if irritation is due to the wearing of dentures or orthodontic appliances, if there is inflammation of the mucous membranes or if there is a fever. Excessively high doses of hydrogen peroxide can damage mucous membranes, and prolonged use can lead to reversible hypertrophy of the tongue papillae. We therefore advise against using Dentex for too long, and at too high a dose.
    • It is essential to avoid contact with the eyes when using Colgate Dentex Mouthwash Solution. If too much Dentex is accidentally ingested, the levomenthol it contains may cause convulsions, particularly in infants and children.
    • With regard to pregnancy, there are currently no sufficiently relevant clinical data to assess the use of hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash. Dentex should not be used during pregnancy without medical advice.
    • Finally, please note that this solution should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, and is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

    1. WHAT DENTEX is for mouthwash AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

    This medicine is a mouthwash for oro-oral hygiene in case of minor irritation of the mucous membrane and gums.

    2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING DENTEX, a solution for mouthwash?

    Never use DENTEX, solution for mouthwash:

    · if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to hydrogen peroxide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, listed in section 6.

    If in doubt, it is essential to seek the advice of your dental specialist or pharmacist.

    Warnings and precautions

    Talk to your dental specialist or pharmacist before using DENTEX, a mouthwash solution .

    DO NOT SWALLOW.

    The consultation of the doctor or dental specialist becomes indispensable:

    · if irritation persists for more than 7 days,

    · in case of severe irritation,

    · if the irritation is due to the wearing of prostheses or orthodontic appliances,

    · if there is inflammation of the mucous membranes,

    · if there is fever.

    Too high doses of hydrogen peroxide can damage the mucous membranes and prolonged use of hydrogen peroxide can lead to reversible hypertrophy of the papillae of the tongue, also called the "villous black tongue". Therefore, it is not recommended to use DENTEX, solution for mouthwash too long and too high doses.

    Avoid contact with the eyes.

    Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your dental specialist or your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.

    The solution for mouthwash DENTEX is indicated in adults and children over 6 years for local use in mouthwash.

    DENTEX solution for mouthwash is ready for use. Oro-oral use.

    Rinse with 10 ml of solution (ie the contents of the dosing cap filled to the mark corresponding to 10 ml) for about a minute and then spit out. Use 3 times daily (after meals and at bedtime) or as recommended by the dental specialist.

    Adults and children over 12 years old: to use as described above.

    In case of accidental ingestion of an excessive amount of DENTEX, the levomenthol it contains may cause convulsions, especially in infants and children.

    This mouthwash solution contains a mild antiseptic . Oxygenated water, in contact with saliva, releases oxygen which helps to eliminate food debris.
    It is used in case of minor irritation of the mouth or gums.
    ATTENTION (summary)
    The mouthwash is not easily used in young children who may swallow the solution: it is reserved for adults and children over 6 years and must be used in children under the age of 12 years under the supervision of an adult.
