Our professional advice and expert opinion in natural health
Initially, decay affects the enamel of the tooth , then attacks the dentin and finally the pulp where the nerves and blood vessels are located. When decay affects the pulp, there is a risk of infection or even abscess. We then speak of toothache.
Cavities are caused, among other things, by a high consumption of sugars and poor dental hygiene , which increases the formation of dental plaques . With the latter, bacteria concentrate and produce acids which attack tooth enamel.
Brushing your teeth is not enough to limit the risk of cavities. Discover the best solutions to take care of your oral health .
- Make sure your toothbrush has soft bristles and replace it every 3 months.
- Floss your teeth daily between your teeth. Indeed, even with careful brushing, food debris can remain trapped between the teeth, which can increase the number of bacteria. Dental floss should be used gently, without touching the gums.
- Finally, it is important to see a dentist regularly. Ideally, it is recommended to make an appointment for a visit every 6 months.
