Our professional advice and expert advice in natural health

Why do mosquitoes bite us?

In the mosquito, it is the woman who bites. Filled with fertilized eggs, it needs the proteins contained in the blood to make them mature. To find his victim, it is first the release of CO2 that will help him identify a potential target. Then, other parameters, like sweat, lactic acid (which gives you aches) or even heat. So if you sweat you are more quickly victimized.

Once posed, the arthropod woman will deploy her syringe and cross the epidermis in order to inject an anticoagulant into a capillary to thin the blood ... before sucking it. It is this substance that causes secretion of histamine (among others) and de facto causes the urge to scratch.

Because by injecting saliva it can transmit parasites, it is important not to protect yourself lightly.
