What is Naturactive Geranium Bourbon Organic Essential Oil used for?

This Naturactive essential oil of GERANIUM BOURBON(Pelargonium graveolens L'Hér. ) isorganically grown. It is guaranteed 100% pure and of natural origin. It has healing, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Indeed, rose geranium essential oil is known to heal minor cuts and burns, bites and acne pimples. Geranium bourbon essential oil is also recognized for its haemostatic virtues, helping to reduce or even stop light bleeding. Finally, it is beneficial for damaged, dry and/or mature skin. In fact, rose geranium essential oil is reputed to regulate sebum secretion, which preserves the elasticity of the epidermis.

Rose geranium essential oil has remarkable antimicrobial properties, acting effectively against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. In particular, it is effective against Staphylococcus aureus, a methicillin-resistant bacterium, as well as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, often implicated in hospital-acquired infections. It also plays an important role in combating bacterial biofilms, contributing to a synergistic antibacterial action with certain antibiotics.

This essential oil also has antifungal properties, enhancing the effects of certain antifungals such as amphotericin B and ketoconazole against Aspergillus, a pathogenic fungus. Stimulating the liver and pancreas, geranium essential oil is renowned for its antispasmodic action, offering relief to tense, contracted muscles.

Thanks to its cutaneous and lymphatic tonic properties, rose geranium essential oil is invaluable for skin health. It acts as a skin tonic, regenerating, astringent, hemostatic and healing agent, promoting skin health and beauty. Used externally or as a vapour, this essential oil is reputed to repel mosquitoes thanks to its active component, citronellol.
