Our advice from professionals and natural health experts

Honey is known to soothe irritated respiratory tracts and calm coughs. Mallow is said to have emollient and antitussive properties, while tamarind has expectorant properties. The combination of these active ingredients will relieve your cough, whether dry or oily.

What are the symptoms of a dry cough?

A dry cough is said to be non-productive when there is no mucus production. In this case, the cough is triggered by irritation and inflammation of the upper respiratory tract caused by viruses, bacteria or irritating substances. It's particularly tiring and painful, and doesn't provide relief because it doesn't clear the bronchial tubes.

What are the symptoms of a hacking cough?

A productive cough is characterized by the elimination of mucus from the lungs and throat. This cough eliminates bacteria and viruses by expectorating (removing) mucus from the lungs. A hacking cough is a symptom of a bronchial infection such as bronchitis.
