What is LCA tick repellent spray for families (30 months)?
LCA tick repellent lotion helps keep away ticks, the main vectors of Lyme disease, so the whole family can enjoy nature (from 30 months).
Laboratory-tested efficacy: up to 6 hours on ticks (Ixodes ricinus). As a preventive measure, use LCA Family Tick Repellent Spray to keep ticks at bay. Immediately effective. Protects for up to 6 hours.
Ticks (Latin name: Ixodidae) are small, externally-parasitic arthropods related to spiders. Ticks feed on the blood of vertebrates. By gorging themselves on blood, ticks can transmit pathogens to their hosts. Of the world's 800 tick species, some 30 feed on human blood. The sheep tick (Ixodes ricinus) is the most common tick in Europe. Because of their small size, ticks are often difficult to spot. Tick-borne diseases often lead to flu-like symptoms: the most common symptoms are fever, headache, muscle or joint pain and fatigue.

What to do in the event of a bite?
- Use forceps to grasp the tick's head as close as possible to the skin.
- Remove the tick slowly, in a single pull, without rotating it.
- Don't worry if the tick cannot be extracted completely; without the rest of the body, the tick can no longer inject saliva into your skin. Ask your doctor to remove what remains.
- Then clean the wound and your hands withalcohol or soap and water.
After these actions, inspect the bite site for a month. Red spots and/or swelling should disappear spontaneously after a week. Consult a doctor if you notice a circular red spot that gradually increases in size, or if you experience any of the symptoms described below. All tick-borne diseases in Europe, except tick-borne encephalitis, can be treated with antibiotics. There is no medication to treat tick-borne encephalitis, but the disease can be prevented by vaccination.
