Ylo was created by d'Y-Nhi, Doctor of Pharmacy, who, on the one hand, was immersed in conventional pharmacy studies in the footsteps of his grandfather, a professor of medicine. On the other, he was educated by his grandmother, who introduced him to her secret herbal remedies.
During a trip to Asia, Y-Nhi discovered that these remedies came from another, so-called " traditional " medicine, based on the principle of mind-body balance. She then decided to train in Asia and in France at the Centre Intégré de Médecine Chinoise de La Pitié-Salpêtrière. It is the synergy of these two sciences that lies at the heart of every Ylo acupressure treatment.
In 2015, Y-Nhi met Laurent. An expert in self-care health products, Laurent has explored traditional medicines both professionally and personally, and is deeply convinced of their effectiveness. Y-Nhi and Laurent share the same desire to promote the benefits of this age-old natural medicine, and decided to launch their start-up together!
Born in China 3,000 years ago, acupressure has spread to neighboring countries, giving rise to a variety of techniques. These include tsubo-shiatsu in Japan, bâm-huyêt in Vietnam and su-de-chim in Korea. Acupressure, an age-old therapeutic practice, has its roots in traditional Chinese medicine. This healing art uses finger pressure on specific points on the body to promote health and well-being. Ylo, an innovative brand, has reinvented this practice by developing a range of accessible and effective acupressure products.
Acupressure uses pressure to activate "acupoints", specific areas on the body known as "acupressure zones", to harmonize flows in the meridians and soothe disorders.Acupressure can be practiced as a self-massage with the fingers or with acupressure instruments. These include instruments made of metal, wood, horn or plastic, which provide more precise, regular and longer-lasting pressure than fingers.Unlike acupuncture, which is invasive and requires the intervention of a third-party professional, acupressure can be applied to the skin by hand.
Phyto-acupressure, although practiced as self-medication, is compatible with practitioner consultations. By balancing the body's flows, it enhances the effectiveness of consultations. By preparing the body and mind, it increases and maintains the benefits of each consultation.
It should be performed in a calm, seated, standing or reclining position. It allows you to listen to your body, as the acupressure zones are often sensitive, depending on the disorder.
It is particularly effective in treating everyday ailments such as sleep disorders, headaches, digestive problems or nasal obstruction.
Phyto-acupressure is the synergistic combination of two pillars of traditional Asian medicine, practised on oneself.
Acupressure is distinguished by its many advantages. It offers a natural approach to health, without the side effects often associated with drugs. Compared with other therapeutic methods, acupressure is non-invasive and can be practised independently.
