VIT'ALL+ standardized extract of Boswellia serrata contributes to joint comfort. Boswellia Serrata, also known as Shallaki, is a thousand-year-old tree recognized by traditional Indian medicine, Ayurveda, for its benefits to the body.
In particular, it is used for its effects on mobility, and more specifically on joint and muscle pain. It contributes to optimal muscular comfort. It is Boswellic acid that gives it its virtues. Regular consumption of Vitall+ Boswellia Serrata Bio 230 mg Standardized Extract 60 vegetarian capsules rapidly improves joint suppleness, particularly in the knees, and increases the ability to walk without pain.
The resin of this tree, standardized in boswellic acid, also promotes intestinal, cutaneous and respiratory well-being. One of boswellia's main properties is its anti-inflammatory and analgesic action, helping to relieve joint pain.
Boswellia serrata, a member of the burseraceae family, is the scientific name of a medium-sized tree that grows in arid, hilly regions of India. The therapeutic value of the dry resinous gum (guggul) extracted from Boswellia serrata has been known since antiquity. Boswellia gum was already mentioned in the earliest treatises on Ayurvedic medicine.
Traditionally, Boswellia gum was used in the treatment of diabetes, skin and blood diseases, cardiovascular or neurological disorders, rheumatism, dysentery, testicular diseases and a myriad of other ailments. Today, its main use is as ananti-inflammatory agent in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, back pain, myositis, fibrosis and arthritis. Scientific data also suggest that Boswellia extract may lower cholesterol levels, as does Commiphora extract guggul, and provide liver protection.
Boswellia serrata has non-steroidal anti-inflammatory properties and acts as an immunomodulator. It is indicated for chronic inflammatory diseases of the joints, respiratory tract and intestines, notably in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It inhibits 5-lipoxygenase, involved in inflammation. Studies show its efficacy to be equivalent to conventional anti-inflammatories such as sulfasalazine and mesalazine, but with fewer side effects.
Boswellie is also used to treatasthma, rheumatoid arthritis andosteoarthritis, and externally foracne, fungal infections and boils. It has antiviral activity against viruses such as Chikungunya.
