What is Beaphar Fiprotec 3 Pipettes Combo Spot-On Chats And Ferrets used for?

Beaphar Fiprotec Combo Solution Spot-On Cats and Ferrets are fipronil and S-Methoprene pipettes specially formulated for the prevention and treatment of tick and flea infestations in cats and ferrets.

Recommended for combating flea infestations alone or mixed flea and tick infestations, as well as chewing lice:

  • Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) insecticide against new flea infestations for 4 weeks. Treatment and prevention of flea propagation by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) for 6 weeks after application.
  • Eradication of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product is acaricidal against ticks for up to 2 weeks.
  • Elimination of chewing lice (Felicola subrostratus) may be suitable for the treatment of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), when previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Spot-On Fiprotec 3 Combo Pipettes are formulated with two essential active ingredients for effective protection against fleas and ticks:

  • Fipronil (50 mg): Fipronil is a powerful insecticide that acts by disrupting the nervous system of fleas and ticks. It rapidly paralyzes and kills them, reducing the risk of disease transmission.
  • (S)-Methoprene (60 mg): (S)-methoprene is an insect growth regulator. It prevents the development of flea eggs and larvae, thus breaking the flea life cycle.

The combination of these two active ingredients offers complete protection against fleas and ticks, both by killing adult parasites and preventing flea reproduction.

Protecting your cat or ferret against fleas and ticks is essential for its health and well-being. Fleas and ticks can cause itching, infections and even transmit serious diseases. Fortunately, Beaphar offers an effective solution: Fiprotec 3 Spot-On Combo Pipettes.

One of the main advantages of Fiprotec 3 Combo Spot-On Pipettes is their long-term protection. A single application provides up to 5 weeks' protection against fleas and up to 2 weeks' protection against ticks. This means you don't have to worry about frequent re-treatment.

Applying the pipettes is quick and easy. Here's how it works:

  1. Remove a pipette from its protective packaging.
  2. Hold the pipette upright and break off the tip.
  3. Spread the hair on your cat's or ferret's back, near the base of the neck, until the skin is visible.
  4. Apply the contents of the pipette directly to the skin, pressing gently.

A single application is all you need for effective protection.

Fiprotec 3 Spot-On Combo Pipettes are effective against fleas and ticks, reducing the risk of various parasitic infections. They rapidly kill adult parasites and prevent flea reproduction, breaking the parasite life cycle.

These pipettes are specially designed for use on cats and ferrets, offering protection tailored to these pets. They are also suitable for kittens and ferrets over 2 months of age.

We also offer Fiprokil Duo cat pipettes from the Clément Thékan veterinary laboratory, at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How to use these anti-flea pipettes ?

Hold pipette vertically. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are in the main part of the pipette. Cut pipette tip with scissors. Spread the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip on the skin and press gently to empty its contents onto the skin, preferably at two points, one at the base of the skull and a second 2-3 cm lower down. Special care must be taken to avoid excessive wetting of the hair with the product, which can cause the hair to stick to the treatment site. However, should this occur, it will disappear within 24 hours of application. In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks. For optimum control of flea infestation, the treatment regimen can be based on the local epidemiological situation.
