Clotrimazole EG LABO 1% Cream 20g is an antifungal drug indicated in case of vulvovaginal mycosis.

What are the indications for Clotrimazole EG LABO 1% Cream 20g?

This cream is a local antifungal drug . This medicine reserved for adults is indicated in the treatment of vulvar attacks linked to conditions caused by microscopic fungi: vulvovaginal mycoses with sensitive yeasts .

Clotrimazole 1% contains an active substance, clotrimazole, dosed at 1 g per 100 g of cream.

Vaginal yeast infections cause itching and inflammation of the vulva and vagina. They are caused by yeasts that usually live on the genital mucous membranes without causing symptoms.

How to properly use this antifungal cream?

The recommendations of the healthcare professional should be followed.

This cream is applied twice a day. It is used after a careful toilet and after having dried the lesions to be treated.

Clotrimazole treatment duration is one week. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, you should consult your doctor.

Before use, you should consult your doctor in case of fever, vomiting, nausea, back or shoulder pain, lower abdominal pain, vaginal secretions accompanied by bad odors and vaginal bleeding.

What is the composition of this treatment against vulvovaginal mycoses?

The active substance is:

For 100 g of cream.

The other excipient components are:

Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Cetyl Palmitate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Octyldodecanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Purified Water.

What are the side effects and contraindications ?

You should avoid douching and, when you are affected by candidiasis, do not use soap with an acid pH, which promotes the proliferation of Candida.

Internal tampons, spermicides, diaphragms or condoms should also be avoided. Indeed, there is a risk of rupture of the diaphragms as well as the condoms.

In case of vulvovaginal mycosis, to reduce the risk of infection of the partner, it is advisable not to have sexual intercourse.

As a precaution, the application of this antifungal drug will be avoided during the first trimester of pregnancy. Breast-feeding should be discontinued during treatment.
