Viatris Bain De Bouche Chlorhexidine/Chlorobutanol 90 ml mouthwash is an oral antiseptic used to prevent or treat infections of the mouth, such as gingivitis, stomatitis or periodontitis. It is particularly effective in eliminating plaque-causing bacteria and reducing gum inflammation. What's more, the mouthwash is recommended for daily use as a complement to toothbrushing. It can also be used before and after dental procedures to prevent infection.
How do I use this mouthwash solution?
This mouthwash is reserved for adults and children over 6 years of age. It is used locally as a mouthwash and must not be swallowed. For normal use, the recommended dosage is 10 to 15 ml of solution, twice a day, diluted in lukewarm water to the top of the measuring cup. If necessary, the dosage can be increased to 3 times a day, but the maximum dose should not exceed 20 ml (to be diluted) per dose. Before each use, brush teeth and rinse mouth thoroughly with water. For the single-dose bottle, simply dilute the contents of the bottle in half a glass of water and use as a mouthwash. Treatment duration can be up to 2 weeks in the case of gingival inflammation and periodontitis, but it is important not to prolong treatment beyond 2 weeks without medical advice.

It is important not to use other antiseptics simultaneously or successively, as they may interfere with each other. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medication. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medication. This mouthwash solution contains alcohol and cochineal red A (E124), which are excipients with a notorious effect.
