Laxatract Syrup is a lactulose-based veterinary treatment to help regulate your dog or cat's intestinal transit. Easy to administer and well tolerated, it effectively relieves constipation while respecting your pet's digestive balance.

What is Laxatract Dog & Cat Syrup used for?

Laxatract is a veterinary solution specially designed to effectively relieve constipation in dogs and cats. Its action is based on liquid lactulose, a gentle, osmotic laxative that helps hydrate and soften stools, facilitating their evacuation without irritating the intestine. This product is particularly indicated in the event of defecation difficulties linked to pathologies such as partial occlusions, tumors, fractures or rectitis.

Animals can suffer from constipation for a number of reasons: insufficient fluid intake, post-operative immobility, excessive hair ingestion, or chronic digestive disorders. Laxatract is the ideal solution for stimulating transit and restoring optimal intestinal comfort. Thanks to its well-tolerated formulation, it is suitable both for occasional use and as an in-depth treatment for at-risk subjects.

Lactulose's mechanism is based on its osmotic action, which draws water into the colon to soften stools and improve their passage. This effect not only reduces digestive discomfort, but also helps prevent intestinal complications in animals weakened by digestive or post-surgical pathologies.

In long-haired cats, the accumulation of hairballs can cause intestinal blockages. Laxatract acts by facilitating their natural elimination, thus preventing episodes of painful constipation.

Laxatract is also easy to administer. Its liquid form enables precise dosage and simple administration, either mixed with food or directly into the animal's mouth. Its pleasant taste promotes compliance, even with the most reluctant animals.

In addition to its proven efficacy, Laxatract is also a safe option for owners wishing to care for their four-legged companions' digestive systems. Its gentle action prevents the frequent side effects of more aggressive laxatives, offering a more natural approach to restoring smooth intestinal transit.

For a complete approach to digestive well-being, we recommend combining Laxatract with Beaphar Pâte Intestopro Chat et Petit Chien. The latter helps regulate stool consistency and supports digestive function for a synergistic effect.

How to use this syrup to promote intestinal transit?

Dogs and cats: administer 0.6 mL per kg of body weight per day, divided into 2 to 3 doses.

It is advisable to wait 2 to 3 days before observing an improvement in transit. Dosage may be adjusted by the veterinarian according to the animal's progress.

The syrup can be mixed with food or administered directly orally using the syringe provided. If abdominal pain or diarrhea appear, consult a veterinarian.

Precautions for use

Do not use in case of total gastrointestinal obstruction, digestive perforation or if the animal is allergic to lactulose or any of the excipients.

As this product contains free lactose and galactose, it may influence the metabolism of diabetic animals. It is also recommended to monitor animals suffering from hydro-electrolytic imbalances, as diarrhea may accentuate these disorders.

This veterinary medicine containsbenzyl alcohol, which may cause allergic reactions in some people. In the event of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water.

Always keep out of reach of children and close the bottle after use.

Laxatract should be administered under veterinary supervision, especially for animals suffering from chronic digestive disorders or in the event of prolonged treatment. Responsible use of Laxatract will guarantee optimum effect and increased safety for your pet.
