An antiseptic indicated for the adjunctive local treatment of mouth affections.

Description

Hextril antiseptic mouthwash is indicated for the local adjunctive treatment of mouth disorders. Treatment of mouth aches: mouth ulcers and sensitive gums. From 6 years of age
Available in mint or classic flavors.

Fever blisters, mouth ulcers, candidiasis, wart or lichen... The mouth can be the site of a wide variety of illnesses, some of them serious, with multiple causes.
The entire oral cavity is lined with a mucous membrane, whose structure is very similar to that of the skin, and which extends as far as the pharynx. This mucosa contains salivary glands. The salivary glands discharge their secretion, saliva, into the mouth via small ducts, and saliva is involved in the digestion of food.
Like the skin, the oral mucosa can therefore present all kinds of pathologies: ulcerations such as canker sores, inflammatory conditions such as lichen. It can also be attacked by various pathogenic agents: bacteria, viruses or fungi (oral candidiasis, the result of infection by a fungus, candida albicans...).

Our advice and expert opinions

Mouthwashes to relieve "little boo-boos

Their formula generally contains active ingredients not found in toothpastes, or only in very small quantities. They are therefore used as a complement, after the "toothbrush sequence". However, they are not for everyone. There's no need to buy them if you don't suffer from any particular tooth or gum problems.

On the other hand, they do relieve "little aches and pains" in the mouth: irritation, bad breath, mouth ulcers, etc. Be sure to leave the product in your mouth for 30 seconds before spitting it out! Good to know too: mouthwashes (with a few exceptions) are not suitable for children under 6 or 7.

1. Is Hextril Mint safe for daily use? Yes, Mint Hextril is designed for daily use as an adjunctive local treatment for mouth ailments. It is recommended to follow the instructions for use supplied with the product.

2. Can I use Hextril Mint if I have tooth sensitivity? Yes, Mint Hextril is gentle and non-irritating to teeth and gums. However, if you have specific concerns about tooth sensitivity, it is always recommended that you consult a healthcare professional before use.

3. How long do I need to use Hextril Mint to see results? Results may vary from person to person, but many users experience relief from the first few uses. For optimum results, we recommend using Hextril Mint regularly, in accordance with the instructions for use.

epilepsy
A chronic seizure disorder associated with abnormal electrical activity of a group of brain cells. Its manifestations, varying in intensity, range from the sudden drop in attention (absences, or small evil) to loss of consciousness accompanied by abnormal muscle movements (convulsions, or great evil). Partial epilepsy, as its name implies, does not concern the whole body: the jerky movements only touch one or more muscle groups.

Some terpenes, and especially camphor, have been responsible for convulsions, respiratory pauses in the infant, in case of overdose. They can also cause behavioral problems in the elderly. These products should be used with caution at the extreme ages of life.
