MAYOLY SPINDLER is a French, family-owned, independent laboratory, which has been able to develop for several decades around effective and recognized pharmaceutical specialties.
The know-how of the Mayoly laboratory applies to several therapeutic areas, such as gastroenterology, rheumatology, ENT, general medicine or consumer health. Mayoly Spindler is also present in the world of dermo-cosmetics with the Topicrem and Charlieu ranges.
History of the Mayoly Spindler laboratory
A family story. Founded in 1929 by a couple of pharmacists, the Mayoly Spindler laboratories were bought in 1975 by Dr. Jean Marie Vernin.
The years that followed were punctuated by a number of launches and events that can be grouped into 3 major periods:
- From 1975 to 1982 with the launch of Charlieu shampoos and the succession by Jean-Gilles Vernin, Pharmacist, to his father Jean-Marie Vernin.
- From 1982 to 2008 with the takeovers of Laboratoires Galéniques Vernin, Rosa-Phytopharma and Opocalcium, not to mention the launch of the Topicrem range in 1994, quickly followed by the acquisitions and launches of the Helikit, Eurobiol, Colchicine and Colchimax products.
- From 2008 to the present day finally with the succession by Jean-Nicolas Vernin to his father Jean-Gilles Vernin and the launches of the products Colokit, Cholurso, Mikicort, Probiolog Fort as well as the acquisition of the dermatological range of Thea Laboratories. 2014 was marked by the arrival of Stéphane Thiroloix as Managing Director. Many other Topicrem line extensions and OTC product launches punctuate this recent news.
Today, Mayoly Spindler remains an entirely family-run, French and independent laboratory.
