Biocodex is a family business founded in the 1920s, over 60 years ago to market the world's first strain of probiotic yeast : Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745®. This yeast was discovered in Indochina by Henri Boulard, a French biologist. In 1953, Biocodex acquired the rights to the yeast strain and the fermentation process from Henri Boulard. That year the French pharmaceutical laboratory Biocodex was founded, it does everything it can to find solutions to your problems. Bicodex is constantly evolving, this laboratory never stops looking for new formulas to take care of your health. In 1961, the company registered lyophilized Saccharomyces boulardii as a drug. This unique strain was registered with the Institut Pasteur Paris in 1989. More than 100 scientific studies have proven the effectiveness of our strain, which is unique in the world.

The research carried out by the Biocodex laboratory mainly concerns probiotics and their different fields of application. About fifty highly qualified scientists are invested in research. But what is a probiotic? These are microorganisms which inhabit the intestine and which allow the passage of a good balance of the intestinal flora.
