Blackcurrant, renowned for its anti-inflammatory potential, is involved in moderating inflammatory processes, helping to reduce inflammation in animals. Offering protective action on cartilage, Blackcurrant acts as a chondroprotector, actively helping to preserve and maintainjoint integrity. In cases of chronic osteoarthritis, Blackcurrant helps protect cartilage and combat demineralization.

Blackcurrant is an ally in the management of respiratory pathologies, particularly in the case ofrespiratory allergies, asthma and recurrent ENT and pulmonary viral infections. It plays a pivotal role in convalescence and fatigue management by providing nutritive and energetic support.

It offers support in cases of hyperuricemia, preventing kidney lithiasis, and can act as a support in cases of functional hypothyroidism.

Blackcurrant is both a modern and an ancient plant, whose medicinal properties have been handed down from generation to generation. In France, blackcurrant's medicinal virtues were first put forward in the 16th century in Jacques du Fouilloux's "La venerie", which recognized its power to cure viper bites. In the 18th century, it was described as a remedy for all ills in "Les propriétés admirables du cassis", written by Abbé Bailly de Montaran. It was said to be "fortifying, tonic, aperitif, diuretic and stone-clearing".

EPS or Extrait de Plantes fraîches Standardisées (standardized fresh plant extracts ) are obtained using the"PhytoStandard" extraction process, which respects the integrity and completeness of the active principles present in the plant. We can prepare your own EPS blends, according to the formulas recommended by your phytotherapist veterinarian.

Advice from our naturopaths

Blackcurrant, pepper from Spain with admirable properties Blackcurrant, pepper from Spain with admirable properties

A little history Dodoens is Flemish, Forestus is Dutch. They are therefore relatively northern authors, who fit…
