What is Wamine Nettle Root Fluid Extract used for?
Wamine PhytoStandards contain a specifically standardized and stabilized nettle fluid extract. Extraction is carried out using a patented process designed to preserve the phytochemical integrity of the plant. This process guarantees a constant content of active ingredients, notably polyphenols and flavonoids, contributing to the consistency of the product's pharmacological profile. The origin of the plants used to prepare this extract is rigorously traced to ensure optimum quality. Standardization of the extract enables precise administration, facilitating the replicability of therapeutic effects.
This dietary supplement is intended for pets (dogs, cats, rabbits and NACs), livestock (cows, pigs, poultry) and competition animals (horses, greyhounds). The formulation excludes the presence of alcohol, making the product suitable for a wide range of animals, including those sensitive to alcoholic solvents.
Nettle root is a remarkable source of vitamins (notably vitamin C), minerals (such as iron, magnesium and calcium) and antioxidants. These nutrients help maintain animal well-being by improving the immune system, digestion and cellular metabolism.
Dried nettle root is particularly popular with rabbits and rodents such as hamsters, guinea pigs and chinchillas. These animals tend to nibble on the roots, which testifies to their gustatory appeal.
The gustatory and olfactory properties of nettle root can act as an appetite stimulant, especially for animals in convalescence or with feeding problems. Nettle extract contains plant fibers that regulate intestinal transit and prevent complications such as intestinal stasis. These fibers also facilitate natural tooth wear. Nettle's mild diuretic properties help improve renal function and promote the excretion of toxins via the urine.
Bioactive compounds such as polyphenols give nettle anti-inflammatory qualities. These properties can be beneficial as an adjunct to veterinary treatment for animals suffering from chronic inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.
Nettle has been shown to be effective in the treatment of a variety of conditions in animals, including prostate adenoma in dogs, osteoarthritis in older dogs, and dermatological conditions. It is therefore frequently included in the diets of dogs suffering from skin diseases or musculoskeletal disorders.
