Origin: Guarana (Paullinia cupana) is a native shrub of the Brazilian Amazon.
The seed contains Guarana caffeine many (more than 4.5 g per 100 g) - sometimes called guaranine for advertising purposes - but also other alkaloids such as theophylline (0.4 g) and theobromine (0.005 g ).
