TargEDys is a French biotechnology company resulting from more than ten years of research at Inserm (National Institute of Health and Medical Research) at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Rouen in Normandy. The TargEDys team uses its unique expertise on the microbiome-gut-brain axis to offer innovative nutritional solutions to regulate appetite and metabolism. The microbiome is crucial for the proper functioning of our body and recent discoveries have shown its ability to influence our body by producing metabolites that transmit signals through the gut-brain axis to, for example, modulate appetite.
In 2020, an article published in the scientific journal Nature (From probiotics to precision probiotics – P.Veiga 2020) took TargEDys’ work in precision probiotics as an example. Based on this article, TargEDys introduced the concept of PreciBiomic® Strains : strains selected for their specific action, having a mechanism of action studied at the molecular level and scientific evidence of efficacy.
For more than 15 years, the work of TargEDys carried out in the laboratories of Inserm in Rouen and IGFL in Lyon aims to select unique strains to provide innovative solutions to major global challenges such as overweight and obesity. , undernutrition and growth, stress and depression. TargEDys' first technology is based on the PréciBiomique Hafnia alvei HA4597 strain, a good bacterium that produces a protein that acts as a satiety hormone through molecular mimicry. The effectiveness of this strain in aiding weight loss has been demonstrated by a clinical study compared to a placebo. The first product launched by TargEDys, EnteroSatys®, contains this strain of Hafnia alvei.
The company's second area of research is based on another PreciBiomic strain, Lactiplantibacillus WJL, whose scientific studies have demonstrated a significant effect on bone and muscle growth and development by promoting better amino acid absorption. Crescylia®, the latest innovation from TargEdys, contains this unique strain associated with vitamin D.
EnteroSatys® Metabolism is composed of Hafnia alvei strain HA4597® as well as zinc and chromium, which help maintain metabolic balance. Hafnia alvei HA4597® is a strain of lactic ferment , originally isolated in cheese made from raw milk. This strain has been studied for several years by TargEDys partner laboratories in Normandy.
EnteroSatys® Weight Management dietary supplement is formulated with Hafnia alvei strain HA4597, Guarana seed extract and chromium which contribute to weight management and metabolic balance.
