The Betsara story begins with three childhood friends, brought together by their love for Ravintsara and their desire to create something meaningful. Tahina SPIRAL, a Franco-Malagasy born in Grenoble, decided to return to his country of origin to start his own plantation of Ravintsara on family land in Sahambavy, Madagascar, in November 2009. It was the beginning of an adventure exciting.
Tahina founded SARL GARCILASIO and launched its first harvest in April 2011. Its vision was clear: to produce a high quality essential oil. Its oils, tested by aromatologists in France, are quickly recognized for their excellence.
However, Tahina discovers the difficult reality of Malagasy producers faced with large exporting companies. Driven by his commitment to respect for Malagasy work, he co-founded the National Platform for the Promotion of the Ravintsara Sector (PNPF Ravintsara) to enhance the work of producers and create a common voice on the production of Ravintsara. He became its president from 2011 to 2012, setting up training to improve the working methods of producers.
Meanwhile, in Grenoble, his childhood friend, Tristan IMBERT, shares his passion for the project. After years of preparation, Tristan joined the team in 2014. Thanks to his network of therapists, he confirms the exceptional quality of Tahina oils. In collaboration with Tahina, they created the SARL Akal NIVAS and launched the Betsara brand in April 2015 in France to promote Malagasy know-how and offer superior quality products.
In 2018, Teddy DACHET, the third longtime friend, finally joined the team as a partner. Its mission: to establish solid relationships with clients. In Madagascar, Tahina works with a loyal team: Rambinina, Ratsimba and Léon, with whom he has forged bonds of trust and sharing.
Sofia, the first employee, joins the team as a work-study student and takes charge of Betsara's communication. It relays information from Madagascar and keeps you informed of the news.
