What is Ialuset Plus Impregnated Compresses 10x10 cm used for?
In the majority of cases, the small wounds and cuts of everyday life are benign and require only local care.
Don't hesitate to consult your doctor if the wound appears deep (tendons or fatty lobules visible), long (several cm) or extensive (larger than half the palm of the hand), if it is located on the face, flexion folds or genital area, or if its edges appear to be too far apart: wound exploration and/or suturing may be necessary.
Ialuset Plus impregnated compresses (size 10x10cm) are an invaluable tool for the treatment of superficial or deep 2nd degree burns, as well as infected wounds. These compresses are impregnated with a combination of hyaluronic acid and silver sulfadiazine, two ingredients that play a crucial role in optimal skin healing and the prevention of superinfections.
Hyaluronic acid is a compound naturally present in the skin that plays an essential role in the healing process. It acts by promoting skin hydration and stimulating collagen production, helping to regenerate damaged tissue. In addition, hyaluronic acid creates a protective barrier that shields the wound from external pathogens and promotes an environment conducive to healing.
Silver sulfadiazine is a powerful antimicrobial agent that helps prevent wound infections. The silver in silver sulfadiazine works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, fungi and viruses that could potentially infect the wound. By inhibiting the proliferation of pathogens, silver sulfadiazine enables the wound to heal more rapidly and reduces the risk of complications.
One of the major advantages of Ialuset Plus impregnated compresses is their ability to treat both superficial or deep 2nd-degree burns and infected wounds. 2nd degree burns can be particularly painful and prone to infection, as the skin barrier is compromised. By using these compresses, patients can benefit from effective pain management while promoting rapid healing and reducing the risk of infection.
Finally, Ialuset Plus impregnated compresses offer a practical and hygienic solution for wound treatment. Their pre-impregnated format makes for easy, precise application, while their individual packaging guarantees product sterility right through to use. This makes them ideal for use at home as well as in medical environments, where infection prevention is essential to ensure rapid, uncomplicated healing.
In summary, Ialuset Plus impregnated compresses are a wise choice for the treatment of 2nd degree burns and infected wounds. Their combination of hyaluronic acid and silver sulfadiazine offers significant benefits by promoting optimal skin healing while preventing superinfection. Thanks to their practical, hygienic format, they are suitable for use at home and in the medical environment, offering patients an effective, safe solution for wound management.

Precautions for use
- Some cases of contact eczematization have been reported.
- Photosensitization.
- In the case of open wounds, the systemic passage of sulfadiazine exposes the patient to the risk of general sulfonamide complications: hematological, renal, intestinal and cutaneous; renal or hepatic insufficiency increases this risk.
- There have been rare cases of leukopenia associated with treatment with silver sulfadiazine.
- Although argyrism has not been reported, this risk cannot be ruled out.
- A sterile exudate may form on the wound surface.
- Ialuset Plus does not alter the electrolyte balance.

Our expert opinion
- Although skin absorption is low, the risk of systemic effects cannot be ruled out. These are all the more likely if the antiseptic is used over a large surface area, under an occlusive dressing, on injured skin (especially burns), mucous membranes, or on the skin of premature babies or infants (due to the surface/weight ratio and the occlusive effect of diapers on the breech area).
- Microbial contamination may occur as soon as the packaging of an antiseptic preparation is opened.
- Follow proper cleaning and disinfection procedures for burns and wounds, as well as their surrounding areas.
- Avoid exposing parts of the body treated with ialuset® Plus to bright light (risk of photosensitization).
- In subjects suffering from renal or hepatic insufficiency, avoid application to open wounds, especially ulcers.
- Single-use compress: do not use if packaging is damaged.
- Cream: close tube tightly after use.
- Do not use beyond the expiry date shown on the outer packaging.
- This medical device must be stored at a temperature below 30°C.
