AMBROXOL 30 mg BIOGARAN 20 tablets is recommended for the treatment of disorders of bronchial secretion in adults, especially during acute bronchial disorders and acute episodes of chronic bronchopneumopathies.
What are the causes of abnormal mucus secretion ?
Mucus is essential to protect the bronchi: it is the first "barrier" against irritants and infectious agents, which continually enter our lungs during inspirations (at the rate of 500 L of air inspired per hour, we understand that there are many "impurities"!). It is secreted by two types of cells: the epithelium (surface cells) and the sero-mucous glands.
However, in the presence of infection or inflammation, the secretion of mucus may increase. It can also become more viscous and clog the bronchi, hampering breathing and causing a cough. Coughing can lead to the expectoration of mucus. Expectorated mucus is made up of bronchial secretions, but also secretions from the nose, mouth and pharynx. It contains cellular debris and microorganisms, which can change its appearance and color.
Type of patient: adult.
Usual dose : Take 60 to 120 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day divided into 2 doses, or 1 to 2 tablets 2 times a day (morning and evening). Oral use.
Tablet (scored): Ambroxol hydrochloride 30 mg. Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, Microcrystalline cellulose, Povidone, Carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), Magnesium stearate, qs 1 tablet. Excipient (s) with known effect: lactose
AMBROXOL 30 mg BIOGARAN 20 tablets is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation. Due to the presence of lactose, AMBROXOL is contraindicated in cases of congenital galactosemia, glucose-galactose malasorption syndrome or Lactase deficiency.

1. WHAT AMBROXOL BIOGARAN COUNCIL 30 mg, scored tablet AND WHAT CASES IS IT USED FOR?
MUCOLYTICS (R: Respiratory system)
Treatment of disorders of adult bronchial secretion, particularly in acute bronchial disorders and acute episodes of chronic bronchopneumonia.
This drug is an expectorant. It facilitates the evacuation by coughing of the bronchial secretions.

Do not take AMBROXOL BIOGARAN CONSEIL 30 mg, scored tablet:
· if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of this medication mentioned in section 6.

Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking AMBROXOL BIOGARAN CONSEIL 30 mg, scored tablet .
Severe skin reactions have been reported with ambroxol hydrochloride. If a rash appears on your skin (including mucosal lesions, such as in the mouth, throat, nose, eyes, genitals), stop using AMBROXOL BIOGARAN CONSEIL 30 mg, scored tablet and contact your doctor immediately.
This medicine contains lactose. Its use is not recommended in patients with lactose intolerance (rare hereditary disease).
It is advisable not to take a cough medication or bronchial drying medication during the treatment period with this medication.

4. WHAT ARE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
· Minor gastrointestinal effects such as nausea, vomiting, sore or heartburn, digestive upset have been reported infrequently.
