The drug Borax / boric acid Biogaran is an ophthalmic wash solution containing a combination of slightly antiseptic active ingredients: boric acid and sodium borate.
Ophthalmic washing solutions are sterile aqueous solutions intended for rinsing or washing the eyes, or for soaking eye compresses. Their main indications are eye washing in case of conjunctival irritation and in ophthalmic surgery for prolonged irrigation of the anterior chamber of the eye.
They are formulated as eye drops in aqueous solution.
The recommended dosage for this treatment is one wash three times a day . In most cases, it is necessary to carry out a complete wash or eye bath with the entire pod.
If all of the single dose is not used, discard the remaining product.
Borax / boric acid Biogaran is often used before the administration of eye drops. In this case, wait at least 15 minutes after instillation to minimize the risk of drug interaction.
Its isotonic composition with tears allows it a mild decongestant and antiseptic action.
The composition of active ingredients of Borax / Biogaran boric acid is as follows: 1.8 g of boric acid and 1.2 g of sodium borate per 100 ml of solution.
This solution should not be used for the maintenance of contact lenses.
A single-dose container can treat both eyes, but should not be kept for future use.
In case of treatment with eye drops, observe an interval of 15 minutes between the two instillations.
This medication is available in boxes of 20 5mL single doses.
Attention, the drug is not a product like the others. Read the package leaflet carefully before ordering. Keep medicines out of the reach of children. If symptoms persist, seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. Beware of incompatibilities on your current products.

Health Education Council:
Eye irritation is a benign and common condition.
Eyewashing is a therapeutic action that can be enough to relieve superficial irritation of the eye.
Indeed, the eye wash facilitates the elimination of foreign bodies that irritate the eye, such as sand, midges, dust, makeup debris ..., and helps to reduce the feeling of discomfort.
Other factors may cause irritation and may not respond to eyewashing. In this case, it is necessary to consult your doctor.
